As of December 31, 2016, the company had approximately 1,437 million barrels oil equivalent of total proved reserves. Noble Energy, Inc. was formerly known as Noble Affiliates, Inc. and changed its name to Noble Energy, Inc. in May, 2002. The company was founded in 1932 and is based in Houston, Texas.
